All GDA members contested the Bowhunter Unlimited Division with Evette Terras winning gold in the Ladies B Class.
Evette was leading her division from the first day and held the lead right through the competition despite a strong challenge from New Zealand competitors.
In Junior Boys C Class James Terras also lead the way on all three days of competition, shooting personal best scores each round to bring home the gold medal.
Lamont Terras finished with silver in men’s B Class, only two points behind first place. He was in sixth place after day one, moving to fourth on day two and second on the third day in a very strong performance.
Jeff Jennings contested the Veteran Men’s Division and finished in sixth place after moving up from eighth place on day one with strong competition from entrants from USA, Brazil and New Zealand.
The competition was cut from the proposed five-day duration to three days due to heavy rain and flooding in the area.
GDA currently have indoor archery at the Gloucester Indoor Recreation Centre every second Thursday evening and an outdoor field range with two 20 target courses on 100 acres of land at Rookhurst. We have qualified coaches with over 25 years archery experience each to assist you with your archery and equipment. Coaching is free to all club members.
