Council plans to hold the round of community update meetings from October 20 until November 14.
Residents are invited to attend the meetings to learn about the latest happenings and on how the merger is progressing.
Interim general manager Glenn Handford along with other key staff are looking forward to hitting the road once again and visiting communities across the region, from Harrington in the north to Tea Gardens in the south.
“These meetings are a great way for us to get to know people in each community and chat about opportunities, challenges and concerns, which all help us in our decision making,” Mr Handford said.
In this round of meetings, Mr Handford and the team will present council’s long term financial position, provide an update on what they’ve achieved to date and be available to answer any questions people might have.
“We’d also like to start a conversation with our community about introducing a special rate variation.
“This will allow us to provide the standard of assets that our community expect and deserve and assist our long term financial sustainability.”
No RSVPs required, just come along and join the conversation or visit www.midcoastcouncil.nsw.gov.au/communityupdate.
