Members and guests gathered together for lunch prepared by the Rookhurst-Gloucester United Hospital Auxiliary (UHA) on Tuesday, November 29 at Gloucester Soldiers Club.
During the presentation after the meal, Gloucester Soldiers Club donated the takings of $273 from the Anzac Day Two Up Competition to the Taree Legacy Club.
The Taree Legacy Club secretary, John Rooimans accepted the cheque on behalf of the organisation.
John said the club receives similar donations from a lot of the clubs from around the region.
“Sounds like Gloucester Soldiers Club’s Two Up is up there with the best,” he commented.
It was then time for the RSL Sub Branch to give their annual donation to the club of $150.
John explained how the funds help toward the $50 Christmas present given to each of the 650 widows of servicemen in the Taree, Forster and Gloucester area.
