Gloucester High School opened its doors and welcomed the incoming students from Gloucester Public School, Barrington Public School, St Joseph’s Primary School, Nabiac Public School, Krambach Public School, Stroud Road Public School and Stroud Public School.
During the last term of school, the schools worked together to give the students a sample of some of the studies that are available to them; different from their current school.
“It’s about experiences they haven’t had before,” relieving deputy principal, Mik Wisely said.
“And learning about Work Health and Safety, so the students are prepared when they enter the classroom.”
It’s also an opportunity for the students to meet some new classmates from different school and get to know where things are on the campus.
They experienced classes in food technology, woodworking and science, working closely with year ten students.
Around 60 new students have enrolled to Gloucester High School for the 2017 school year.
