Daniel Hughes is an active member in the Gloucester community particularly in the sporting sector.
He has participated in a number of sporting clubs including being a member of the Little Athletics Club for 16 years and later becoming a volunteer.
Daniel has volunteered as a referee for the Gloucester Junior Soccer Club and also is the keeper of the scoreboard for the Junior Basketball.
He participated in the Gloucester Swimming Club for the 2011 – 2013 seasons.
Daniel completed the Bronze Level of the Duke of Edinburgh Award and is currently working on the Silver Level with a goal of completing the Gold Level.
He was the Gloucester High School Captain, with duties including participation in Australia Day Celebrations and Anzac Day Services.
While in high school, he participated in many Clean Up Australia Days and also competed in the Lions Club Youth Public Speaking competition, taking home second place.
Daniel is a great asset to the town of Gloucester.
Aiden Wall became involved with the Gloucester Magpies Rugby League Football Club at the start of the season in 2016.
Even though he is too young to participate in the games, he has turned up to every training session during the season.
He was heavily involved at the home games helping with set up before and clean up after the games. Aiden travelled to every away game and assisted where he could.
He was awarded the Gloucester Magpies Club Person of the Year Award for 2016.
