Committee member, Julie Lyford stresses the importance of the community’s involvement in the convention.
“We want their ideas, their energy, their enthusiasm and wisdom,” she said.
“This is a whole community event.”
Following on from the inaugural event held in 2015, the convention committee is looking to focus on progressive communities and individuals in action.
“Walking the talk and finding solutions.”
The weekend is designed as an environment for creative, robust and challenging conversations by exploring solutions for our future.
“Transitioning towards renewable economic and social landscapes is in full swing across Australia and the world.”
“The challenges and choices of sustainable living in rural and regional communities are creating exciting opportunities.”
Although the full list of speakers is not yet finalised, there are some exciting ones already on the list.
