We held our first meeting of the year at the Uniting Church Hall in Cowper Street.

The meeting went well as we celebrated member, Col Weismantel’s 90th birthday with a great cake and lots of well wishers.

Our guest speaker for this meeting was the visually impaired Walter Bolin.

Walter spoke about the various aids that are now available for the use of people whose vision is impaired.

This was of great interest to many of our members.

Our travelling year kicks off with a mystery trip on March 16, followed by a trip on The Ghan from Darwin to Adelaide.

So a busy year ahead.

The next meeting for the Combined Probus Club of Gloucester is on Thursday, March 2 at 9.45am for a 10am start. All welcome.
