Only one official Clean Up day is registered for the Gloucester region on Sunday, March 5 so far, but it’s not too late to get involved.
If you want to join in with the registered event, a group will be meeting at the Mograni Lookout at 9:00am.
Event organiser, Phil Milton said the team at Webbs Real Estate decided to get involved in clean up Australia day this year.
He said it was his boss, Webbs co-owner, Gary Ferris who decided on the location of the clean up after he had noticed more and more rubbish on a particular section of road
“We will be doing the stretch of road from Mograni lookout and working as far as we can back towards Gloucester,” he said.
“A few of us have done it in the past but not for some time,”
”I noticed a week or two ago that no sites had been registered in the Gloucester area and could not remember seeing much about it in previous years, so we thought it would be a good idea to get involved.”
If you want to register to help out visit http://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Mograni+to+Gloucester
They will provide gloves and rubbish bags, all you need to bring is some sun protection and bright coloured clothing for high visibility.
