The second annual KTM Australia Adventure Rallye, rolled into town for a pit stop on their way to Riverwood Downs.
Riders took off from Wisemans Ferry, north of Sydney on Monday, March 6 for an off road excursion through the Blue Mountains to the Hunter Valley, up to Walcha and down through Gloucester on the way back to Wisemans Ferry.
Several well known riders from Australia and overseas took part in the five day ride, including Australian off-road and enduro motorcycle racer, Toby Price.
Toby caused quite stir on Church street as they was stopped by fans, both young and old, for a quick chat and a photo.
Toby has been enjoying the relaxing rally ride, after having broken his femur in four places during the Dakar Rally in January.
“It’s good to be in Gloucester to get some good food and recharge,” he said.
Gloucester riders, Tyson Walker (on his second rally) and Bayden Johnson (on his first rally), where both awe struck meeting their childhood idol; american motocross champion, Ricky Johnson.
“Ricky was the rider we were watching when were where in school,” Bayden said.
The KTM rally is organised by the company for owners of the adventure bike, which is a cross between an off-road bike and a road bike.
