Volunteers will be knocking on doors in the Gloucester region on Sunday, May 28.
“Anyone wishing to assist by collecting for three hours on Sunday from 9am, please call or just drop in to the Majestic Theatre Arcade,” local coordinator, Paul Sheridan said.
“However, if you would prefer to collect on Saturday, please let us know.”
The appeal is run annually, to collect funds for ongoing social and welfare work, things like drug and alcohol rehabilitation, court and prison chaplaincy, family tracing service, Salvation Army emergency services, aged care facilities and domestic violence.
You can help through making a donation and although there’d not an established presence in Gloucester there are many services available to the community.
“We now have a money care officer available in Taree, free of charge, to help with counselling, advocacy and grief counselling,” Taree captain, Keith Atkinson said.
For access to these services call The Salvation Army in Taree on 6551 2570.
To volunteer this weekend, please contact Paul on 0427 750 077 or Grahame Holstein on 0438 136 370 or Keith Atkinson 0467 587 819.
