Men’s Division 2
The Panthers came out strong Saturday night against Wingham. Play was promising with the side as they took up dominating teamwork until a break from a young Wingham forward landed them their first goal. Shortly after, a short corner penalty against Gloucester caused a broken finger to Lachlan Howard. Wingham followed with a goal just clearing the top bar. Gloucester struck back with a break from Dave Keen passed on to Callum Howard who was able to lead into the circle and make a cross to his father, Brett Howard to convert the goal to finish up the first half. Ten minutes into the second half Jack Davis made a great shot to level up the scores for Gloucester. The Panthers were able to maintain pressure on the Wingham side until, after a confused call in the circle led to another Wingham goal. Wingham pushed hard and converted another two goals in short succession to leave Gloucester to face a 5-2 loss.

Men’s Division 3
The Panthers had another great game last Thursday night up against Wingham. Their passing game kept the Wingham side on the back foot all night. Dale kept the side together, coordinating some great team play through the centre. Michael Green led the charge up front and was rewarded for it with two goals for the night. Nick Atkins was able to add another goal to the point’s board to finish up for the night. Final score 3-0 to the Panthers. This win puts them in a commanding position on the leader board. The Division 3 team next takes on the Taree Tigers this Wednesday night.
Junior Hockey
Denell Transport ‘Wildcats’ v Jason Collins Transport ‘Devils’
A very good game was played between these teams. The Devils scoring 2 goals in the first half to take control of the game. Wildcats came out strong, led by Bethany Hester, in the second half with Nick Edwards (2) and Jayden Hardy (1) scoring 3 goals between them.
Final score; 3-2 to the Wildcats.
Gloucester Mobile Mechanic ‘Sharks’ v Valley Motors ‘Panthers’
Newcomer to the game, Samuel Ellis, had a great game in as goalie while Olivia Simshauser had a great all round game. Harrison Edwards was kept busy with quite a few attempts at goal but could not get through the Sharks defence of Sam’s goalie work.
Final score; 3-2 to the Panthers
Tigers v Autopro ‘Dragons’
Tigers started very strongly dominating quickly in the first half with some great traps and passes from some of the smaller team members. Beau Blanch found the goal half way through the first half. The Dragons tried to fight back in the second half and certainly began to get the ball in attacking position a lot more in the second half but some great defence from Kyden Deangelis kept the goals at bay. A break from the Tigers set Pryce Crane up for their second goal. Justin Battams made a great break through the defence to score. Despite continued pressure, they couldn’t level the scores.
