GPS teacher/coach, Mel Seale took over two teams; one boy’s team and one girl’s team, to play at the Taree hockey fields on Wednesday, June 14.
Rain didn’t damper the spirits or enthusiasm of the 26 students who put their best efforts forward.
Ms Seale said she was very proud of the way the students played and presented themselves as a team.
Despite not winning on the day, she said she was happy with their efforts.
The final scores were; boy’s Taree West 3 to GPS 1 and girl’s Taree West 8 to nil GPS.
“The second half for the girls was better than the first,” Ms Seale said.
“I was pleased about that.”
