Gloucester Croquet Club elects committee

On Monday, July 10 the Gloucester Croquet Club held its annual general meeting with 27 members in attendance.

The following members were elected:

President: Brenda Pennicuik

Vice-President: Al Minis 

Secretary: Judy Hopkins 

Treasurer: Elaine Leech

Games Captain Association/Ricochet: Paddy Sevens

Games Captain Golf: Bev Murray 

Committee Members: Ashleigh Hickman and Carol Dwyer.

Following the meeting, a general meeting was held and sub-committees were decided.

Please note it was also decided to change winter playing time for afternoon golf croquet to 1.30pm for 2.00pm start.

Also, please check the cleaning roster – your turn only occurs about twice a year.

Brenda then presented medals to winners of the Australia Day Challenge – Al Minis, Tom deWitte and Col Weismantel.

Col is still recovering after his recent illness. Best wishes go out to him as we look forward to seeing him being able to return home soon.

Dates for the diary

July 28- Golf Singles Championship.

August 4- President’s Cup (golf).

September 2- Gloucester Gala Day (golf) 

September 22- MNCCC Golf Championships at Forster.

October 13 to 14- MNCCC Association Championships at Gloucester. 

October 14- barbecue at Farmers market.

Following the meeting a soup and damper lunch was enjoyed with thanks to members for contributing the food. Golf croquet then followed.
