For the third year, the Jets full Hyundai A-League squad and coaching staff will travel to key areas within the Club’s regional footprint.
The week-long tour kicks off on Monday August 14 in Taree before heading to Port Macquarie, Tamworth, and Singleton.
Throughout the week, the players and coaches will host three exciting Jets: Play Clinics (Taree, Tamworth and Singleton) for up to 200 kids aged between six and 12 years.
The team will also play friendly match against a Football Mid North Coast Select side at Port Macquarie Regional Stadium on Tuesday August 15017 at 7pm.
Newcastle Jets chief executive officer, Lawrie McKinna, said that the club is looking forward to engaging with the Northern NSW community for a third successive year.
“With Greater Bank’s backing and the additional support of football people in Northern NSW we will once again be able to take our Club to the community this August,” McKinna said.
“These trips provide a great chance for us to meet many of our members and fans in their backyard, and generally spread the gospel of the game and our club to the wider community.”
“This year we’ll be traveling around Northern NSW in our fully branded Sid Foggs bus for the first time, so fans will be able to spot us on the highways, streets, and roads throughout our route,” he said.
The Club’s Jets: Play Clinics in Taree, Tamworth and Singleton will each be capped at 200 participants aged between six and 12. Registrations information can be accessedhere (www.newcastlejets.com.au)
