Mid Coast RFS superintendent in Canada to assist fire coordination efforts

RFS Mid Coast Superintendent Kam Baker was due to attend a meeting in Gloucester last week to recognise the work of RFS volunteers in serious bushfires in the Gloucester area earlier this year. He was seconded to Canada and could not make the meeting organised by Advance Gloucester.

In an Australian first, a team of 100 specialist fire firefighters will be deployed to Canada this week to assist fighting wild fires burning across the country.
