Last Man Stands T20 cricket tournament at Old Bar and Taree

LAST Man Stands T20 cricket Taree/Forster will host the inaugural LMS Mid North Coast Cup this month. 

The tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday September 23/24 at Old Bar Reserve and Taree Recreation Centre.

This will be the first LMS tournament held between Newcastle and the Gold Coast. Teams will experience playing under lights with two matches scheduled for Old Bar Reserve on the Saturday evening. 

“This will be a real treat for players, officials and spectators,’’ LMS Mid North Coast manager Trent Thompson said. 

Any team of eight with players older than 16 can enter. A cash prize is on offer for the champions with Old Bar Tavern the major sponsor. 

Registration is $340. All teams are guaranteed two pool matches on the Saturday with the semi-finals and final held on the Sunday. Nominations close Friday September 15. Teams from Port Macquarie, Taree, Old Bar and Forster have already nominated. 

Local cricket clubs and twilight cricket teams can use the tournament as a pre-season hit along with any group of mates who are looking for a weekend of T20 cricket.
