Rockin’ rootsy country blues music guitarist, Bo Jenkins will be performing on Saturday, September 23 at 1pm.
“If you like your music authentic, then Bo is not to be missed.”
If you like your music authentic, then Bo is not to be missed.
Bo’s music reflects the richness of a life playing on river boats, in bars and clubs of the Mississippi Delta region.
This region of the United States has bred such music legends as Johnny Cash, Sonny Boy Williamson, Elvis Presley and Charlie Rich.
His shows benefit from years playing with the likes of international performers B B King and Reba McIntyre.
Bo has performed at a range of Australian music festivals, including the Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, the Gympie Muster and the Thredbo Blues Festival.
For the aficionados, Jenkins is a left handed upside down player, incorporating lots of slide guitar and favours Aussie brand guitars, like Maton and Cargill.
Phil Emmanuel has been quoted as saying “I’d like to break his fingers” in reference to Bo’s abilities.
Bo and his family moved to Australia in 1994 and he has been playing as part of a trio and solo ever since.
