The walk is on Saturday, October 14 from 9.30am finishing at 11.30am in Billabong Park. Meet at the cricket nets beyond the grandstand in the park.
This free tour will be guided by MidCoast Council horticulturist, Ian Jackson and offer discovery of the interesting gardens and history of this impressive public space.
Ian highlight many interesting features to do with the gardens and history of the park. He will also ask some trivia questions and for names of some of the variety of trees. You could even win a prize! So prepare for a walk of up to about two hours or as long as you wish, prepare your questions for Ian.
This is a great opportunity to get gardening inspiration, learn about our parks and enjoy some gentle walking exercise.
The Gloucester Garden Club have donated a blue flowering Poulonia tree to be planted in the park on the day.
Come along on Saturday, join with the members of the garden club, bring your friends and any new people to town
The tour will conclude at Billabong park where the farmers market will be on as well that day and well worth a visit and perhaps a well deserved cup of coffee.
