Walcha Mountain Festival is filled to the brim with things to see for the whole family.

The festival kicks off with an evening event on Friday, October 20 and runs until Sunday, October 22.

Keen bike riders can saddle up for the PKF Walcha Road Ride Challenge on Saturday and again on Sunday for Carlo’s IGA Captains Ride, supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

A stunning quilt exhibition will be held over the weekend at the Langford Woolshed, with the official opening on Friday evening with wine and nibbles from 6-9pm.

Saturday at McHattan Park, come and enjoy the billy cart derby, Walcha Farmers Market, and trash and treasure market. Sunday takes place on the grounds of historic Langford House from 9-3pm.

The festival offers free kids’ activities, a rock climbing wall, food and market stalls and great entertainment including live music from Goldheist and The BopCatz.

Woven into the day are parades by Australian Wool Fashion Awards, hourly guided tours of Langford House and a spectacular display of more than 80 rare vintage cars from the Great Eastland Rally.

Model ships sailing on the Langford Lake, great food, craft beer from New England Brewing and boutique wines by Whyworry are the finishing touches that make the Walcha Mountain Festival such a fabulous event for the whole family.
