2017 was the first year Gloucester Rugby had two female teams; the Opens Ladies team joined the Mid North Coast competition and travelled as far as Coffs Harbour to play Rugby 7s while the under 17 Girls team started the year playing for the Mid North Coast Tomahawks at Country Champs. Unfortunately they did not have a competition to play in but with women's Rugby 7s popularity thriving within NSW, there’s hope for next year.
