Manning Great Lakes police remain at the scene where a body was found in the submerged car.
With assistance of police divers, a man’s body was removed from the vehicle.
Police are working to formally identify the man.
A report will be prepared for the NSW Coroner.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing and the submerged car will be removed later today.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.

Manning Great Lakes police are investigating an incident in which a car drove off a bridge at Mitchells Island.
At about 10.30pm on Thursday, November 2, emergency services were called to the site after motorists noticed the vehicle submerged in the creek below.
Police attended to the scene and were unable to get inside the vehicle.
A NSW Police spokesperson said there were no reports of a missing person at this time.
The southbound lane is currently closed with motorists urged to take extra precaution.
