The Taree-Wingham Race Club will host a five race card on Melbourne Cup day, headlined by the Benchmark 55 Handicap.
Gates will open at 10am with the first race at 12.45pm.
All races from Flemington and other meetings throughout Australia will be shown on the infield big screen opposite the grandstand and general viewing areas along with screens through the general viewing areas.
The luncheon at the Winning Post Grandstand is booked out, however plenty of food and beverage outlets will be available in the general viewing areas.
No food or beverages are to be brought into the racecourse.
The ‘Fashions on the Field’ competition is always very popular with $1100 in prizes for the mens and womens competitions.
Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for pensioners.
Complimentary buses will run at the following times and will depart from the racecourse at 5.30pm.
Forster and Tuncurry- Two buses will leave at 11am from the Lakeside Tavern in Forster. Pick ups will begin shortly after at the Little Street bus stop in Forster, the bus stop beside the Bellevue Tavern in Tuncurry and at the end of Blackhead Road on the Lakes Way.
Harrington- A bus will leave at 11am from the Harrington Hotel. A pick up at the Coopernook Hotel soon after.
Old Bar- A bus will leave near the surf club at 11am and then do a pick up from near the main supermarket soon after.
Tinonee and Wingham- A bus will leave from the Tinonee store at 11am and then from 'The Log' in Wingham at 11.15am.
Gloucester- A bus will leave from near the public toilets/Country Link bus stop at 10.30am. Pick ups at the Krambach Hotel at approximately 11am and Nabiac in Clarkson Street in front of the IGA Supermarket at approximately 11.15am.
