NSW SES Taree City Unit was called out to the hall, where the back portion of roof had been completely removed.
A spokesperson for the SES said that it was too dangerous to tarp the roof, therefore interior waterproofing was undertaken.
The damage occurred after weather warnings, indicating damaging winds, lightning, heavy rain and hail on Monday (November 6) around 3pm.
Acting local controller for the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) Gloucester Unit, Robert McNeice said there were no call outs in or around town.
A resident of Forbesdale reported hail, loss of power and numerous trees that had fallen across the road and on private property.
Essential Energy also had reports of power outages in several locations, including areas in and around Krambach, Belbora, Nabiac, Berrico, Bunyah and Stroud.
Essential Energy reported that a tree had fallen across Avalon Road in Krambach, causing a traffic blockage and loss of power to around 400 people.
NSW SES Taree City Unit reported on Facebook, that it was assisted by Harrington and Wingham units, with attendance to multiple requests for assistance.
A spokesperson confirmed that crews attended 28 properties in Taree, one in Wingham, seven in Nabiac and 11 in the Forster/Pacific Palms area. Crews returned to six of the incidents on Tuesday.
