The two day carnival will see over 270 athletes heading to Gloucester to compete in the two day carnival.
Our athletes have been busy training and competing for this event. Our season started at the end of August, with over 80 athletes registered this season, and athletes have been improving each week with a number of athletes already racking up 20 personal best times this season.
These athletes are Lily Sansom, Bradley Higgins, Chloe Doolan, Liam Wamsley, Ryan Beggs and Emma Ashton.
Athletes that have been awarded 15 PB’s include the athletes names above as well as Charlotte Marchant, Brodie Baker, Eli Stuckings, Nic Maslen, Tahnee Yates, Hamish Haschek, Asher Baker, Sienna Macdonald, Jacob Vumbaca, Ty Vumbaca, Harvey Willis, Brennan Auckett, Ruby Bradbury, Kate Bradbury, Anthony Shultz and Harrison Clarke.
A number of new records have been set this season. Charlotte Maslen, who competes in the Under 17 age group, has broken the Shot Put, Discus and Javelin records. Tahnee Yates set a new club record in the 1500m run in the Senior age group. Harrison Clarke has built on his solid form from last season, breaking the Long Jump and Triple Jump records in the Under 17 boys age group. Emma Ashton broke the 1500m record in the Under 15 age group with a time of 6:80:33 min. Bradley Higgins, who competes in the Under 7 age group has been a standout this season, setting person best times every week and he showed his strength setting a new Under 7 turbo record with a throw of 11.47m
