Gloucester Golf Club

A single stableford was played on Saturday & thanks to Anthony at the RSL for supplying some excellent trophies on the day.
Steve Burns continued his good form of late to post a very impressive 42 points. Steve rarely misses a Saturday’s golf & he’s never far from the trophies. He certainly blitzed the field on this occasion.
B Grade winner on the day was John Herd with 39 points. John hasn’t spent much time in Gloucester of late so he must be getting in some practice elsewhere. Good to see you back John & good to see you back in the winner's circle. Douglas “Ferris” Barron was victorious in C Grade with a very solid 38 points. Well played Doug.
Ball winners on the day were the abovementioned plus Derek Bardwell 37, Peter Wildblood 37
NTPs: No one in A or C Grade could hit the green so B Grade NTP was taken out by John Herd.
A Grade Long Drive: Roy Crichton.
The end of year Snake Club event was held after the golf which celebrates all the three-putts throughout the year. Thanks to Gary Randall for organising the prawns once again.
Next Saturday’s event is an individual stableford for the Club’s Xmas Cheer Day. Please note that you need to have your names down for this comp by Thursday (19 Dec) at the latest. Trophies will need to be pre-arranged & the number of golfers is required ASAP.
Good golfing – Shankers apprentice.
