The Pink side took an early lead in the first quarter with some great goal shooting by Kent Baker and Emily Cameron combined with tight defence from Felicity Willis and Natalie Williams.
Silver took advantage of some second quarter errors, with Tara Relf and Rhea Holstein working hard in the centre court.
Strong defence from Silver’s Claire Dawson and Tayla Predebon got the side to within three goals at half time.
Sharp shooting from Alix Maddalena (56 goals) saw Silver take the lead in the third quarter, holding out Pink to win the season one grand final 59-48.
Congratulations to Lauren Cameron and Anne Keen who received season one encouragement awards for improved performances on the court.
Gloucester Netball would also like to thank Feona Ray for volunteering her services to the club over the past 19 years.
Season two commences in August. Anyone interested in playing can put their names down at the courts on Saturday mornings or via the Gloucester Netball Facebook page.
Thank you to all the players, umpires, scorers and the committee for a wonderful season.
