The Brick ‘n’ Pin kicks off with a street parade scheduled to commence at 10.30am.
This year’s parade theme is ‘Out of Africa’.
Cowper St will be closed to all traffic from 10am for the duration of the parade, which will be lead by international town crier Graham Keating.
The official opening of the Brick ‘n’ Pin competition will take place at the showground with federal Paterson MP Bob Baldwin.
This year’s event includes children’s face painting, entertainment by Lucky Starr and Dakota Blue, wool spinning demonstrations and a quilt exhibition.
The culmination of the event will be the local derby between the Stroud Raiders and Dungog Warriors at 6pm.
The brick throwing committee will run the bar and barbecue in the Mexon stall s while Stroud Road Public will operate the kiosk.
Booral Public will serve sit down high quality meals, snacks and something for the sweet tooth in the luncheon pavilion.
There are still some stall sites available for hire.
