This is a national school sporting event where the top six boys and girls from each State will compete for the cup.
Rising Australian Nick Kyrgios represented the ACT in the same tournament six years ago.
Lleyton is a regular at the courts in Gloucester and travels to Wingham every Wednesday and some Fridays to be coached by Shane Ludeke from Wingham Tennis Club.
Sid Yates has recently started working with Lleyton to help his strengthening and conditioning.
“It’s great to see Lleyton represent our youth in tennis from our local community,” Gloucester Tennis Club president Brett Ashton said.
“His hard work to achieve this opportunity from such a small town and be recognised at a national level is outstanding.
“On behalf of the Gloucester Tennis Club committee and its members, I wish Lleyton all the best on the courts in Darwin.”
Gloucester Tennis Club has assisted Lleyton and his family over the past two years since he started playing the game at a serious level.
His family wishes to thank the club for its support towards Lleyton’s fees and uniforms.
