The family sold 40 bulls to a top of $11,000 and an average of $5615.
The top-priced bull was purchased by the Richards family of ‘Pentire’, Singleton.
Darryl Johnston from the ‘Invergordon’ stud at Gloucester River purchased three bulls at an average of $6333. Barry Henderson from ‘Skibo Downs’ secured four bulls at an average of $5622.
Other local buyers included Merewether Pastoral, Ken and Joe White, Bill and Di Mansfield and the Laurie families from Rawdon Vale and Bonnie Doon.
There was strong buying support from the Hunter with Scone Pastoral at Thompsons Creek securing four bulls at an average of $6125.
Luke Fairweather from Seaham purchased two bulls including the second top-price at $8000. Regular Gresford supporters Bonnington Beef and Josh Evans both took home two bulls.
The draft of 80 unjoined yearling Angus heifers met solid competition, all selling to an average $872.
Repeat buyers, Joe Berry, ‘Buri West’, Walcha and Rob Waugh from Bellingen purchased three pens each. Catering for the sale was provided by the Barrington Public School P and C.
