Gloucester is due to be part of the Vibrant Spaces trial that has been previous rolled out in the former Greater Taree City Council.

At the council meeting held on Wednesday, November 23, administrator John Turner passed the motion for the trial to be extended to towns like Gloucester, Bulahdelah and Stroud on a six month basis.
The trial would allow business owners to put goods and decorations out on the footpath without being charged the annual fee currently in place from the former Gloucester Shire Council.
Owner of Leisure Time Gloucester, Amanda Harris is looking forward to the opportunity to add to her current display on Church Street.
“I pay one fee for the clothes rack and another fee for the sandwich board,” she said.
She liked the idea of adding pot plants to the outside of her shop to help beautify the street.
Like her former business in Forster, she could even put dress mannequins on the outside window to help further display her goods.
