Some great attacking play between Gloucester BlueLight and Hunter Special Vehicles

Gloucester Barrington Pest Control division two

The first game of the morning under grey and drab skies was between Gloucester Bluelight (green) and Hunter Special Vehicles (white). Sportsmanship and great team work meant that this was a wonderful game to watch. There is nothing better than seeing kids smiling whilst trying to out-manouvre each other. One outstanding player for the entire game was Lucas Bonney who turned the game for team green. Goals also scored by Connor and Nicholas. Final score, 5-1 to Bluelight.

The game between Autolec (dark blue) and Lovey’s IGA (red) was an example of strong defensive play by both teams. Luke, Caiden, Ryan and Harvey all worked hard to keep red out, whilst Tylah, Jake and Jack made scoring difficult for blue. Another closely contested game with great sportsmanship displayed by all on the field. Goals to Sam, Beau and Dean. Final score 3-1 to Autolec.

The final game of the day was between Gloucester Farmer’s Markets (yellow) and Water and Tipper Hire (light blue). Both teams are working well as a team, looking to support each other all over the park. A very close game in the first half, with Alex putting his body on the line, keeping yellow down to only 1 goal. Yellow got away a bit in the second half, with Sam A scoring 4 more goals for his team. Goals also scored by Thomas, Sam L and Nathan. Final score 5–2 to GFM.

Darrels Gourmet Butchery division three

Autolec v Gloss-Ter CarWash – In the second game of the day it there was plenty of defensive work from Michael Borradaile and Jesse of Brodie Ashby. The score remained locked at nil all until early in the second half when Hayley Green Crook took an opportunity against the run of play to open the scoring for Gloss-Ter CarWash. The score remained 1-0 with heaps of attacking pressure coming from Mitchell Whitby and Thomas Coombe with Thomas finally evening the scorecard with 3 minutes to go.  Gloss-Ter CarWash was putting up a valiant fight until Thomas Coombe pounced on a loose ball in the square and putting the game to bed with a 2-1 win to the Autolec Team. Great Game!

Gloss-Ter CarWash division one

Game one saw Gloucester BlueLight and Hunter Special Vehicles head to head. It was a slow start to the game with a score of 1-0 to Bluelight until two quick goals were scored by James McLeod just minutes into the second half. Emily Murray & Bridghid Parker played hard games for BlueLight with Jack Yarnold having a great first half in goals. Kaito Sutton scored two of the three goals for BlueLight, Sam Ballantyne scoring the other.. Sensational team work from HSV saw another 4 goals before fulltime. Final score 6 – 3 to Hunter Special Vehicles.

Game two Autolec v Accommodation Gloucester – Autolec started well with two early goals. The rest of the first half was an even contest with Autolec scoring another goal right on half time. Autolec were on fire early in the second half scoring 3 quick goals. Dylan Schultz scored the only two goals for Accommodation Gloucester in the last 15 minutes. Andrew Hughes was good in defence and saved a few goals. Final score 8 - 2

Avon Vallet Concreting division four

Ollies v Darrels Butchery – It was a busy start to the morning with everyone keen to be involved. Jarrah Baker got in early with some long kicks up the field. Xander Galvin came back with some great ball skills and Jackson Galvin worked hard at getting the ball to the scoring end. Nick Maslen was constantly involved in the mid field in moving the ball out and towards the goal. Brodie Baker diverted the ball several times from the goal with Jake Parker finally landing a fabulous goal for Ollies. There were many tussles between Liam Wamsley, Riley Blanch & Charlie Coombe who all played with the utmost enthusiasm. Hats off to Jacob Brown who has improved every week and is showing great skills & interest in the game. Overall it was an evenly matched game and fun to watch.

DRIFTA Defeats Warriors

Drifta Camping and Trailer Kitchens 14s team travelled to Wingham on Saturday 3rd June to play against the Wingham Warriors.  Great passing from the midfielders, Lane and Kelly in the opening minutes created space and opportunities for the forwards to put some pressure on a Winghams keeper.  Drifta took advantage of the gaps in Winghams defence and were able to be 3 nil up at half time, goals to Xander, Kayden and Zeke.

The second half Aiden had a stint in goals, relieving Sam and giving him a run on the field. Xander and Kayden added to the score line again after finding a hole in the opponents defence. Beau also added to our tally with a great assist from Joseph, while his other was a fantastic header into the net. Ever strong defence from Jack, Hayden and Tristyn kept the Drifta team with a clean sheet, final score Gloucester 7, Wingham Warriors 0. Our next game will be a home game on the long weekend Saturday 10th June at 11:00 am up against top of the ladder Buladelah Bullets.
