The six week program looked into behavioural change in men, specifically anger and what coping skills can be incorporated to manage it.
Upon completing the program, Adam Godwin said listening to the experiences of other people helped him progress through the program.
“You’re not alone, we are all in this together.
“There are a lot of unnatural stresses on people and of course there is a proportional emotional reaction to that,” Mr Godwin said.
Andrew Pollock also said the interaction with other people such as Mr Godwin proved effective.
“My anger has gone out the window through meeting new people and doing my course to make it work,” Mr Pollock said.
Manning Support Services counsellor Patricia McDougall ran the meetings in Gloucester and said the program looks at the causes of anger beyond the individual.
“The course itself doesn’t just look at your own anger but dealing with other people’s anger,” Ms McDougall said.
