Game two found the grounds and kids getting wetter by the minute. Autolec (Dark blue) were pitted up against a determined HSV (White) team. Once again, both teams were short players, playing seven-a-side which left a lot of panting at half and full time. Nick showed great determination for white, but found it difficult to get past the solid defence of Harvey and Luke. Sam and Beau showed their great footwork in attack, scoring a number of times against a depleted defence. Goals to Beau, Sam and Nick. Final score 8-3 to Dark blue.
The final game of the day looked to begin under clearer skies, however the reprieve only lasted a short while. Lovey’s IGA (Red) put up a good fight against a determined Water and Tipper Hire (light blue). Both teams only had six or seven players and found themselves running ragged on a soggy pitch. Tom, Sam and Brennan showed great teamwork for blue, putting together a collection of goals between them. Dean lead the attack for red, scoring three individual goals with his fancy footwork. Light blue starting to work together well, coming up victorious 10-3.
