A critical incident investigation has been launched following a barricade situation in Gloucester overnight.

About 9.20pm (Tuesday September 19), police attended a home on Denison Street, Gloucester, and attempted to speak to a 63-year-old man.
The man made a number of threats and a perimeter was established.
At about 11.55pm emergency services saw the home alight.
When the blaze was extinguished, emergency services entered the home and found the man suffering burns.
He was taken to Gloucester Hospital and has now been be airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.
There were no other people in the home.
Officers established a crime scene which will be forensically examined.
A critical incident investigation team will examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
