MidCoast Water Services’ summer water saving program applies throughout daylight saving time to help control the amount of water we use during the warmer months.
This program applies to domestic usage as well as businesses, parks, gardens and sporting grounds.
MidCoast Council’s director of water services Brendan Guiney said he hopes customers will once again take up the challenge to reduce their water consumption during summer.
The program has only one simple requirement – fixed hoses, sprinklers and microspray systems should not be used during the hottest part of the day – between 9am and 4pm.
Supporting the summer water saving program will not only help water supplies, it is also more effective for gardens.
