A ceremony was held in Taree.
Minister for Police Troy Grant said the community should never take the contribution of our police for granted.
“If you see an officer out on the beat, please stop them and thank them for the work they do,” Mr Grant said.
“On National Police Remembrance Day, I stand with the entire police family to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of community safety.”
