Wild Ocean Tasmania, @wildoceantasmania, captured the pair frolicking at Pirates Bay in the state’s south.
The mother can be seen swimming past the camera with the calf in her shadow.
The Instagram post said: “One can only imagine the changes ahead, for the Oceans and its inhabitants”.
“Current generations are leaving a legacy that will effect Oceanic species for millennia,” the post said.
Wild Ocean Tasmania is a small tour business that aims to reconnect people with the environment and raise awareness about the world’s coast.
“Ocean conservation is essential, we owe it to future generations and to the planet that supports us,” the post said.
