Angel Flight was established in 2003. It’s a non-profit charity which coordinates non-emergency flights to assist country people to access specialist medical treatment that would otherwise be unavailable to them because of vast distance and high cost of travel.
All are welcome to enjoy morning tea and listen to guest speaker volunteer pilot, Clyde Stubbs, who will fly into Gloucester aerodrome, if weather permits.
Thanks to all who attended our Pink Ribbon breakfast, it was great to see so many support this worthy cause.
During the morning we helped two ladies celebrate their special birthdays and all tasted the delicious birthday cake made by a member’s husband; may they have many more birthdays.
At the recent annual general meeting (AGM), the following roles where filled for the evening branch; congratulations to Denise Hawdon who was elected as president, Donna Kemp who was elected as secretary and Denise Redman who was elected as treasurer.
For the next meeting, members are asked to bake a boiled fruit cake in a 20 centimetre square or round tin and a steamed pudding.
The next meeting will be held at the CWA rooms on Thursday, November 9 commencing at 7pm, all welcome.
