On Tuesday, November 14, 69 members of the GPS choir walked from the school to the nursing home in order to sing for the residents.
The students filed into the outside courtyard as the Hillcrest staff assisted residents to find a comfy spot with the best view of the choir.
Some of the students were dressed in festive Christmas gear to mark the occasion, while the year six students were sporting their ‘Crazy Socks’ for the year fundraiser which is aimed at purchasing the student’s farewell gift to the school.
GPS music teacher, Annette Burrows started the students off singing an African acapella song before moving onto a few favourite Christmas tunes.
The annual sing-song is enjoyed by both the students, the residents and the staff.
