The initiative is run by the Australian not-for profit organisation, Share the Dignity, which has been providing homeless and at risk women with sanitary products since early 2015.
“We are thrilled to be supporting Share the Dignity,” CBA Gloucester Branch Manager, Dearne Batchelor said.
“They provide an opportunity to make life better for a woman or girl experiencing homelessness or poverty in our local community this Christmas.”
The Gloucester team are hoping to collect 30 bags during the campaign which runs until December 2. If you’d like to donate, choose a handbag in good condition that you no longer use and fill it with items like: soap, moisturiser, hand sanitiser, babywipes, hair ties, hand cream, pads and tampons, plus pop in a thoughtful note or Christmas card and show her someone cares.
Next time you’re at the shops, collect a few extra items, then fill your handbag with goodies, and drop it down to Gloucester Branch at 32 Church Street.
