Gloucester’s Mavis Parker reached a milestone in August when she turned 100 years old and to mark the occasion, a plaque has been placed under a tree on Centenarians Row.
Mavis was joined by her daughter, Christine Pearson and son-in-law, Ross Pearson for a small ceremony on Thursday, November 16.
Members of Gloucester Tidy Towns and staff from MidCoast Council also came along to help Mavis celebrate her milestone.
Mavis turned 100 on August 29 and had a birthday celebration around that time which included many family and friends from outside of Gloucester.
Mavis has four children, 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
She is one of eight children and is originally from Sydney, moving to Gloucester around five years ago.
