The Green team went into the game as favourites winning the overall round robin competition and defeating Black two weeks prior in the semi-finals by four goals.
Green started strong securing a five goal lead at the end of the first quarter, however the Black team dug deep with numerous intercepts and accurate shooting to keep the margin at four goals heading into the final quarter.
With a four goal lead the Green team needed to play solid netball with minimum mistakes in the last quarter to secure the winning trophies.
The Black team fought hard but fell two goals short at the final bell, with a final score of 42-40 to the green team.
The presentation of trophies followed the game:
Encouragement awards were awarded to Liv Middlebrook and Tenille Murray.
Angela Hutchins and Lee Clapson were selected for the most improved awards.
The pointscore winner for 2017 was won by Marnie Barkwill.
