On September 25, Basketball New South Wales and the New South Wales Country Basketball Committee announced that Jessica had been selected represent NSW Country at the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup.
She made the team last year playing in the under 16s but this year, shes moved up an age division to the under 18s.
The team will be competing in the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC) in Albury from January 14- 20.
Jessica is very excited about going to Albury. She loves playing in the ACJBC and catching up with friends from other states.
It is just so much fun, she said.
On November 29, Basketball New South Wales announced the basketball players who had successfully qualified for the NSW Under 18 Country Women squad and Jessicas names was on the list.
She was named as one of the 25 girls to move onto the next stage of the selection process which involves attending a camp in February where the squad will be reduced to just 15 players.
Jessica is feeling okay about the trial, despite being among the youngest gunning to be on the team.
Her age group is very strong and there are quite a few players in the bottom of the ages category.
If chosen, she will be competing at nationals in April 2018 in Geelong.
During the regular season, Jessica plays for the Newcastle Hunters and has recently been named in the U18 women division one team for 2018.
And as if that werent enough to keep her busy, she is also trialling for the Newcastle Hunters Youth League team.
