Santa has been busy but that didn’t stop him for spending a little time in town.
He has popped up at various events around Gloucester and even spent a few days at Nanna's Homewares and Antiques having his photo taken with some of his biggest fans.
Last year, it was announced that Santa would not only be available for inside photos, but also photos in the park, which was very well received. It was another successful year, with extra sessions put on to accommodate everyone.
Although there were fewer animals involved than last year, photographer Sharon Benson didn’t get the request she was looking for.
“I am hoping for a horse,” she said.
“But no reptiles please,” she laughed.
She said all photo sessions are different and unique in their own way and it’s really important for her to try and make it fun for the children.
“It’s the kids you have to work for that are the most rewarding and exhausting.”
As for next year, she has a vision in her mind about what the setting will look like and she is hoping to make it a reality.
Donations will be made from the proceeds to a few different causes, including Australian Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Great Lakes Women’s Shelter.
The Gloucester Advocate staff wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
