Statistics for the MidCoast Council Local Government Area (LGA) followed the state-wide trends, with most offences remaining stable or trending down.
Domestic violence related is down 17.4% and steal from dwelling is down 13.1%
Member for Upper Huner, Michael Johnsen said this latest data from BOCSAR reflects the commitment and dedication of the local police to keeping our community’s safe.
“These statistics signal a major step forward in the battle to combat crime, and with a streamlined and modernised policing structure coming into full effect state-wide early next year.
“I would like to thank the Upper Hunter electorate community for doing their bit by reporting crime, working closely with our local police officers, and remaining vigilant,” he concluded.
