Around 65 members gathered together at the Gloucester Senior Citizens on Thursday, December 14 to celebrate Christmas with a home cooked lunch.
The group normally hold the Christmas event in the evening, however, according to president, Penny Vavasour, they took a vote and the majority opted for lunch this year.
All the food was plated up by members of the Rookhurst and Gloucester Hospital Auxiliary, who also made the salads and potato bake.
In between courses, they all sang Christmas carols led by Colin Charles accompanied by Shirley Patmore on the piano.
The organisation runs a full calendar of programs throughout the year, run by its members for its members, utilising the expertise the member, programs range for mediation to mahjong.
U3A’s next schedule of courses will start up in the new year in line with the school terms.
