There were heaps of entertainment for all children with amusement rides coming to town and Santa will be making a guest appearance at 8pm.
The carnival will have rides for young children, the under 12s and rides to entertain teenagers together with various treats to eat along Bent Street.
Many of the local retailers will also be open during the carnival for your chance to do a spot of late night Christmas shopping or just relax for a while with a coffee.
During the lead up to the carnival, participating outlets will be giving away shopper dockets to customers to enter into the draw, so shop local for Christmas in Wingham for your chance to win.
The Chamber held bed races from 6.30pm with businesses and community groups were urged to put a team together and support this worthwhile community event.
Part proceeds from the race will be donated to Rescue and Emergency services. Police, Taree VRA and SES volunteers will again maintain a safe and enjoyable evening and parents are urged to ensure their children are fully supervised throughout the night.
