NSW Ambulance paramedics are being kept busy with people who are suffering heat-related symptoms, including heat stroke and collapse.

So far today paramedics have attended 55 cases of heat, dizziness, fainting and entrapment across NSW, the highest in the Sydney Metro Area (28), followed by Northern NSW (17), Southern (9) and Western NSW (1).
An 80-year-old man was attended to at Forster and a 76=year-old man attended to at Taree on Tuesday morning, December 19.
PAges ranged from an 11-year-old girl to people in their 80s and 90s. The majority are aged 60 years and over.
Cases included
- people working in the yard. Reserve activity to the cooler part of the day if you can
- 14-year-old girl fainted and lost a tooth, at Wattle Grove
- A child locked in a car at Greta this morning. Please don’t leave children or pets locked in cars.
- Some people with histories of pre-existing conditions including heart problems, diabetes, blood pressure, disease, chemotherapy. Take extra care and keep up your medications.
