Hat Head Surf Life Saving Club’s competitors head to their final hit out this weekend ahead of the Envirobank NSW Surf Life Saving Country Championships held at South West Rocks on February 3 and 4.

The club will be represented by 25 members at the Bonny Hills Branch Championships with Nippers and Masters compeitors participating in beach events on Saturday and the water races on Sunday.
Hat Head Surf Life Saving Club’s nippers co-ordinator, age and team manager Nicole Browne said the competitors hard work will pay off over the next few weeks.
“They have trained all season long and it’s in preparation for the Country Champs,” Browne said.
“We had a good training session last week and this weekend will be their last chance to compete before the big event.”
Hat Head Surf Life Saving Club are expecting an increase in participants at the NSW Country Championships with 36 competitors currently registered for the event.
While all of the competitors will give it their all, there is a few who you should keep a close eye on.
Zoe Crilley is fresh off two fifth placed finishes at the 2017 NSW Interbranch Championships.
The 12-year-old represented the Mid North Coast Branch in flags and sprint events.
Meanwhile Mylina and Serenity Clancy picked up medals at last year’s NSW Country Championships.
Browne said the club’s nippers numbers, which it close to 90 this summer, have been consistently high for the last few seasons.
