A woman reported missing from Clarence Town has been found safe and well.
Leanne Whitby, 31, went missing from Clarence Town on Thursday February 8.
Police would like to thank the community for their assistance.
INITIAL REPORT
Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a woman missing from Clarence Town since last week.
About 3.30pm on Wednesday, February 7, Leanne Whitby, 31, was last seen by relatives at a home in Clarence Town. She left the home travelling in a silver Mazda NSW registration number CI97WF to a medical appointment in Clarence Town.
Shortly after 4pm, Thursday, February 8, Ms Whitby sent a text message to a relative saying she was trying to sell her car.
Police and family have serious concerns for her welfare, as they have not seen or heard from her since.
Ms Whitby is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of solid build, with brown eyes and blonde hair. She is known to frequent the Newcastle area.
